West City Park

Yesterday the whole seventh grade went to the park, and had a competition on how could make a boat that could hold the most weight in water. I didn't win of course the first boat I had wouldn't work because it was too big. The second one wasn't that durable and sunk as soon as we put weights on it. The whole reason was so we could have fun and  hang out with our friends. We had to leave early because it was getting hot. When we got back we all had an ice cream and watched a movie.

What bothers me is Homework

Homework bothers me because you shouldn't have to do work when you go home. It's even worse when teachers give home work on the weekend. Your weekend is so posted to be off from school, but you can't do that if you have homework. The only reason I don't like it is that you learn it in class, and if you do that I don'/t see the point in homework. I know it is so you don't get it wrong.

The City Museum

Tuesday I went to the City Museum and it was kind of fun. I stepped in water after being there about an hour and the water went all the way up to my knee. The rest of it was fun that was the only bad part about it. I had Dawson, Reese, Gabe, Dylan, and Anthony in my group. We mostly stayed in the caves. That was the coldest place in there.

Kid Nation 6

In Kid Nation I see Authority in that I see the counsel members use their authority to help the town get all the trash cleaned up and keep it clean. Another example of that is they punished Taylor for not helping and then she didn't do what she was told to do. DK had an idea that the hole town help fill the water bucket. And every in the grabbed a bucket and helped and he didn't abuse his authority. And DK didn't abuse that.

There is also rationalization in the town. DK used reason to calm every body down at the town hall meeting. He also used planning to have the hole town fill up the water bucket. Galan used reason to keep DK from leaving. And the town counsel used planning to get all the 5trash cleaned up.

I also see social exchange. Some of the people had done some work and thought they should get the gold star. There is also the people had to clean things and then they want peoples pity. They also do that in there groups. They do it in there age groups as well.

Kid Nation 7

In Kid Nation 7 I also see deviance. Taylor never does the work she is assigned, and then they give her punishments and then she doesn't do them either. Taylor thought she was better then every body. Jared tipped Deva's stand over, and her food went every where. Deva didn't have any thing to say to Jared.
I also see deviants in kid nation.Jared flipping deva's stand over would be an example because he did it for a stupid reason. A second example of that is Taylor doesn't do work and that most people don't do and they do there work. A their example of that is when Greg kind of messed with Nathan about how he worked. And that is how I see deviants.

I also see primary deviance. Greg gets mad sometimes and takes it out on every one else. So does some of the other people. All the people do it if you think about it. Taylor does it all the time.

Kid Nation 5

In Kid Nation 5 I see a lot of groups. One of the groups is all the younger kids in the yellow team, the older kids in the blue team, and he middle aged  kids in the red and green teams. Another group is the kids that do there work and the ones that don't. Then there is the girls and the boys. And there was  the group of the people how complied about getting up and those that didn't.

There are also conflicts. An example of that is between Olive and the leader of the blue. Another example of that is between the leader of the red  and the person that was running angst him. A third conflict is when they chose the dental health over barbecue, and the hole town was mad. There was the conflict between Taylor and Zach.

A third thing I see is social network. The blue group is a social network along with all the other groups. There is also the network of the younger kids. And the older kids have a network as well. The hole town is a social net work if you look at it right.

Kid Nation 4

In the fourth Kid Nation I see obligation have, but some of the kids didn't want to do their jobs witch they where told to do. One example of that is when yellow didn't want to do their jobs like cook and clean. The yellow team was the upper class and had the opposition to help to help but only one person helped every one else.

I also see rights everyone there has the right to work, but that doesn't mean they will. The yellow team has the right to work, but the yellow team doesn't help even when they have duets to complete. They don't take any thing the right way and just slack off.

The last thing I see is role. All the yellow people think there all that, and don't don ant of there work. And the rest of the people just do there work, they get mad at the yellow team.

Donating Presdent

What I think about this is I think it's good that he wants to donate money, but 90% is almost all of it. I also think that he is doing a good dead, and at the same time not doing him self good. He is clearly not greedy  I mean he just donated over$10.000.

My Weekend

This weekend I had to help my dad tear down a wood play set in our backyard we never used it, and it was just taking up space. I also helped my dad build a pitching mound in my backyard. The mound was for me to practice pitching.

Kid Nation 2

I see drives there because every one is hungry. The leaders took a vote, and they desisted to kill some chickens to eat. Some of the kids didn't want to kill the chicken, and the younger kids finally gave in. Then they went to kill the chickens, and all the kids flipped out. Greg is the one how killed the chickens. they all eat chicken that night.

I also see beliefs  some of the counsel believe that Greg was just doing work to get the gold star. Then again won't most of them just do work for the gold star. I mean the gold star is worth $20,000. Another example is when the younger kids didn't want to kill the chickens they believed  that they shouldn't kill the animals because they liked them so  much.

I also saw a bit of norms all the people that followed the rules, and thought that the counsel was doing a good job. The same people that the counsel could a better job said the same thing that they said the last time. All the people on the red, blue, and green teams did their jobs. Everyone on the yellow team didn't get up and do their jobs.

Frendly Letter

Dear Mrs. Debolt,

Hello, I'm Zachary Liles. I'm in your second hour class. In my free time I ride my bike, play baseball , and go hunting or fishing. I like all kinds of sports ,but baseball is my favorite. And now I will tell you more about that.

When I ride my bike I go up and down the street . Most of the time the older kids down the street ride there four-wheelers or dirt bikes down the street. Then there's baseball I plat for a select team  called the Titans. I'm the oldest kid on the team, but only by  couple of months. With hunting and fishing I normally go with my dad or my grandpa.

Some things I like to do with computers are look things up, play games, and make things. I have made a couple of power point prostrations. Some times I just look around on the internet. Those are the things I like to do on a computer.

Kid Nation 1

Kid Nation shows 40 kids that have to survive in the middle of no where for 40 days. the first couple of days was ciaos. A lot of kids had different perspective on how the town should be ran. for instance Mikael gave a speech on how every one should listen to the counsel.

I also saw a little bit of latent function such as the first dinner they cooked turned out badly. Another good example is when they split up into groups Greg almost got into a fight with one of the counsel members. A third example is when the camp had their first challenge. Some of the teams didn't have there intended out com.

A third thing I saw was class conflict, some of the blue didn't think they should be the merchants and thought they should be the upper class. A good example of that is when Greg thought that he should have won the challenge. A second example is when the yellow team didn't do there job every one got all mad at them. The last thing I saw was when the younger kids wanted to go home the older kids told them the not tot go home, and that was the part that caused that conflict because some of the people said that they might hold them up.

Do Video Games Make Kids Violent?

I think it depends on the type of game that the kid is playing. I also think it  depends on who the kid reacts to the game. For example if the kid plays a more violent game they may come off more violent.
